Vacancy: Innovation Network Facilitator

About us

We're a London-based company called Crowdhelix, with two core products:

  • We deliver Vision2020: The Horizon Network, which is an Open Innovation community for research organisations & businesses involved in the European Union's €80 billion "Horizon 2020" funding programme, and its upcoming successor “Horizon Europe”.

  • We develop and run the Crowdhelix Open Innovation platform, which underpins the activities of the network, and facilitates R&D collaboration between people in different organisations and countries.

About the role

Our network continues to grow, with over 380 excellent members in 42 countries. Over 2,400 representatives of these organisations are also subscribed to our custom-built online platform, Crowdhelix. As such, we're now seeking an Innovation Network Facilitator to join our London-based team, and help us continue to deliver an excellent service to our network members, who are our key clients.

Your tasks and objectives:

  • Liaising with representatives of our network member organisations, and acting as an excellent representative of our company, and our "Open Innovation" ethos.

  • Working with the existing team to develop and implement communication and marketing strategies.

  • Responding to queries from our members, and acting as a focal point for information and communications about our network, both internally and externally.

  • Developing and updating network documentation, promotional materials, guidance documents, agreements, and other resources.

  • Organising and promoting collaboration and networking events across Europe.

  • Maintaining our client records, and our stores of documentation.

  • Carrying out day-to-day management and moderation of the Crowdhelix platform, the Vision2020 website, our Customer Relationship Management system, and various other administrative systems.

  • Helping us to successfully implement the (currently three) EU-funded collaborative projects that we're participating in.

Our key offers:

  • This is a full time role (35 hours per week), based in our London office. The closest Tube station is Goodge Street.

  • We're offering a starting salary of £22,294 per annum, which includes a London living allowance

  • Salaries are subject to annual increases to reflect cost of living inflation, as well as automatic annual advancement through pay increments to reflect experience.

  • After three months you will become eligible for our company pension scheme.

  • If you pass your six-month probationary period, and your work then continues to meet agreed targets and our expectations, you will be eligible for awards under our employee share options scheme.

Who we're looking for

You must:

  • Have excellent English oral and written communication skills. In particular, you must be able to draft professional communications that are appropriate for the senior leaders who represent our clients.

  • Be a highly proficient user of common technologies for the workplace. We use G Suite, Mac OS, and Chrome OS, however as long as you can show you are competent with common packages (e.g. Microsoft Office) we will provide the necessary training.

  • Be well organised with the ability to multitask, plan, and prioritise your workload.

  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

  • Be motivated, enthusiastic, and proactive.

  • Be willing to travel to, and to help organise, events overseas.

  • Have the right to work in the UK. With regard to Brexit, we are closely monitoring the impact of various scenarios, as we are committed to our EU members of staff. Should any member of our team require a visa to continue working with us after March 2019, we will make our best efforts to help them obtain this. If necessary, this will include our payment of any visa fees that may be required by the UK Home Office.

We would also look favourably upon:

  • A working proficiency in another European language.

  • Knowledge of social media, community management, and/or digital marketing.

  • Experience with the administration of events and conferences.

  • Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.

  • Experience of the European research & innovation sector, such as the “Horizon 2020” funding programme.
